These images reflect my inspirations from the last couple of years. A mix of earthenware and stoneware, using many different techniques and many different clays. I have experimented with the use of copper wire, sand, molochite, inlays, overlays, stones, tiles, glaze on glaze, oxides and copper hues. In particular, I have used a patina glaze for many of the rims, which has become a signature. I am now interested in pale tones of blue and green on whites. After a bisq firing, there may be another firing or many more depending on the desired result. The texture of the clay body is predominantly rough and earthy, though smoothed out to get even surfaces. I am also enjoying the glossy shiny finish on white clay with clear glaze and crackle effects.
